Blue Post for Mom!
November 14, 2007 by blazedanielle
Hello again friends, and thank you for your kind words on yesterday’s post! Aren’t those paintings a feast to look at? And I’m glad that we all agree that the eraser is a must have! :)
So today I have a few very exciting things to show you!! And, they all have a common color which is….. BLUE! I admit, I am a bit of a green girl (this is very obvious, I know…), but I am currently learning that I have been underestimating blue! (It is thanks to my mother that James the Bug Catcher doesn’t have another green sweater! :)) Today I will give you all proof that blue is indeed an exceptional color!
The first two proofs of beauty are some future mail of mine! After showing off my so called “collection” of pretty teacups in last week’s blog posting, I decided that I needed to continue my search for more beauties! (Because 3 is a complete collection!) So, last night, I found Miss Blue! Isn’t she divine?!
I can’t wait to sip my current favorite, Jardin Bleu, out of her! From the Teacup’s Website, it says that Jardin blue is “like drinking a garden fresh strawberry rhubarb pie. Black tea, rhubarb, wild strawberry flavor, cornflower and helianthus petals.” Mmmmm!
And below is a photo of my future and FIRST teapot ever!!! It is long overdue, but I have been a patient girlie, waiting for the perfect one! And what makes it all the more special is that it is coming from my boy! :) He does know me well, and has been looking for a teapot for me for quite some time! When I get them they will be celebrated in their beauty with many photos, just you wait! I can’t wait for them to arrive!!! :)
Also, I have to give hats off to blue color pencils. They are so much fun to do sketches with, (because of their range of value) and I do enjoy the end result! This is a sketch I did last winter break of the classic fairy tale, The Three Bears!
And lastly, I have to post once again, the work of Alicia Bock. Her blue photos are so gorgeous and peaceful. It’s like looking at a summer sky with sunglasses on!
So that’s all the excitement for my Tuesday! I have been working on a watercolor that is due Thursday, so you will get to see that soon! Also, Lavender is still being worked on as well, so be looking forward to many new things soon! Hope you are all having a wonderful afternoon! :)

You’re Bluetiful Blaze!

Your teapot is beautiful! BTW - I love your icon picture - its a perfect picture! You are so fun!
Oh, I just love the three bears!! Gorgeous!
Oh yum!!! I whole post of blue!! :D Blue is probably my favorite color, even though pink is a close second. But I just love the various shades of blue (as evidenced by the fact that I have my room painted blue! hehe!).
And what lovely, lovely new tea goodies! I’m just in love with that teacup especially. I keep meaning to get my little self over to Anthropologie (which I could’ve done on Saturday, but I didn’t want to drag the Boy along ;) to see what new teacups they have on the sale table. hehe!
And your sketch of the three bears is so sweet!! :) Yay for fairytale illustrations!
Hope you’re having a lovely Wednesday!
Such a pretty teacup! And that sketch is just wonderful. You are such a talented artist.
I have a ‘blue’ posting today too! I LOVE the teapot!! I’m jealous ;)
Your three bears illustration is absolutely adorable. I am terribly found of that tale…sigh…It’s just so lovely.
What a sweet little teapot you have there… I am quite the tea drinker myself, although mine usually comes out of chipped mugs that are older than I am. Perhaps it is time to start a teacup collection of my own.
I love you teacup, so elegant and that tea sounds wonderful.
i loooooooooove that photo. and the three bears. cute! and one of my favorite stories.
it arrived! that beautiful teacup has finally arrived! and what a beautiful addition it is not only to your collection but also to your room! maybe if you have little girls one day and i do too we can all have a fancy dress up tea party… or we could do that now without kids (more tea and goodies for us!!!) : )
