All you need is a little Perspective…
April 23, 2008 by blazedanielle
For the last five weeks, I have been very busy in my Perspective class. We have been studying vanishing points, orthographic views, isometric views, and lots of smart goodness. Our first project is due today, and it is all about Paraline Drawing. We were each to create a chest/drawer/wardrobe, and I chose to create the plans for a mini wooden castle.
Of course I added some froofs and frills to girlie it up! Here is what the top paragraph says”
“Tiny chambers are hidden within this wooden chest. It is a place that can
hold the scarcest of whispers, the smallest of hopes, and the secrets so significant,
they are unbreathable. The deepest compartments can hold the memory
of a song, and even the beautiful dreams that are not to be forgotten.
Originally, these wooden castles were given to every girl when they turned
ten years of age. This is because the longer one possesses the chest, the more
it can hold. However, the tradition was abandoned years ago, and the Secret
Castle’s have been long forgotten.”
There’s my narrative coming out! Anyway, I must be off to get it printed on parchment paper!
Wish me luck!

Such adorable and cute choice. I think it fits your artistic personalitie. UHHH I hate perspective classes, I suck at drawing perspectives.
Good luck for your project! OH! post every part of the project when you finish, ok?. I wish I had one. Snif

The presentation of your tech drawings is very cute. Lovely little story too.
Blaze! I love it!!
What a pleasure it must be to have you as a student and to grade your work.
Your work is so beautifully laid out and presented.
Oh! I love it! It’s proof of your child-like soul :) Something to cherish and nurture!
This castle reminds me of one of my favorite spots as a high schooler: a wooden playground, full of secret corners and bridges and hidden passageways!
Too darling!
perfect!!!! how did you come up with the borders?
I was just thinking that it reminded me of the wooden castle playground we had at my elementary school, then I read Julia’s comment!
Magical imagination

I love it, great job!
One thing I do not miss in fine arts class was perspective projects.
Many times I wanted to just throw the ruler and pencil across the room out of frustration :P
