One day we got the brilliant idea to make one that would stretch from my house to her house, two blocks away. This way we could talk to each other whenever we liked! We got our two tin cans and a very large ball of string that we draped over shrubs, across streets, and through neighbors yards! We were crushed to find, that after much hard work, we were unable to hear each other. We simply could not figure out what had gone wrong! Oh, I absolutely adore this!
