The other day, Jameson’s Mom, sister and I went to a watercolor demonstration at a local art store, and were inspired by the idea of these tiny portable palettes! We decided to make some for ourselves, and I wanted to share with you our finished products.
I ended up making one for myself, and an extra one for a lucky blogger because I thought it was time for another contest. :) Leave a comment below reommending anything – books, movies, artists, recepies, and I’ll draw a winner at random to win their own “Portable Palette.” That way your purse can always be prepared for any spur of the moment creativity.
I filled the tins with all of my most used and favorite watercolors, and I will send a drawn out key to the winner. Also, if you look below, you can see a written out “How to make a Portable-Palette” if you want to make one for yourself.

I am going on a little vacation next week, and I don’t know if I’ll be able to do some posting. I’ll try my best, but I’ll be back sooner or later with more blog fun! I’ll announce the winner when I get back!
xo!

You posts are so adorable. This is such a cute idea!!!
By the way….I link you. You have to answer the Proust Questionnaire and then link someone (Go see the questions at my blog, copy-past and answer them). :)
How cool! I still can’t believe I’ve never played with sculpy :)
I highly recommend the animated movie called Persepolis. I saw it last night and I was completely blown away. It’s about an Iranian girl living through the Islamic revolution. It was extremely touching and funny, and oddly enough it’s a French language film with sub-titles. I cannot imagine it being nearly as successful as a regular movie – the animation was perfectly fitted to the mood and story. Definitely not a cartoon for kids!
What a tricky little idea – I Love it!
Although, I have yet to read it, I’ve heard some great things about the “Hand to Eye: Contemporary Illustration” and plan on heading to the book store today to get a copy for myself!
Enjoy your vacation! (I’m off on another vacation adventure again tomorrow).
This is such a great and clever idea! THANKS!
Blaze, what a wonderful idea! Of course you know my favorite movie is Miss Potter, so if there is anyone who has not seen it, you must see it. It’s a true inspiration for artists!
I have to admit I’ve never heard of sculpy, but I’m learning new things every day. Can I get that at Michaels or Hobby Lobby?
This is really cool Blaze, I love it!

A couple of movie recommendations are BELLA and BECOMING JANE. *sigh* such wonderful movies. :)

Very creative Blaze… if I carried this in my purse I’d have much more to work my muse with for sure. :)
What a clever little thing that is! I am going to recommend a book called “The Book Thief” by Marcus Zusak. It is reality based fiction about a girl who lived in Nazi Germany, a young Jewish man hiding out in her house…and an infamous narrator. It is beautifully written. And thanks for this great idea you have posted!!!
This is awesome!
I don’t know if you like the Smashing Pumpkins, but Billy Corgan’s book of poetry is amazing. Its called Blinking With Fists, and its one of my most cherished books.http://www.amazon.com/Blinking-Fists-Poems-Billy-Corgan/dp/0571211704/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215821102&sr=8-1
