I am so happy to introduce you to some new friends! I have been quite busy working on them, and am so happy with how they turned out! (Click for more detail!)

(I hope it’s not too obvious that these kiddos reflect a bit of my own personality??) Anyhoo, the girlies will be up in my next shop update next month! :) As for now, which one best suits you?!

Thank you for all of the sweetest posts last week! And for all of your purchases!  You all are so sweet!  I will have your fun buys in the mail this week!!

And in case you were wondering, I had a wonderful birthday weekend, and I feel like 21 suits me nicely. And look at the gift my mom gave me! It is for my Clematis to climb up! Isn’t it just gorgeous?! I think she knows me pretty darn well.

My weekend consisted of:

~ a breakfast outing with my family
~ a delicious BBQ thrown by my girls
~ a dress up party and crepes
~a delightful movie,
~ a game of cosmic ultimate Frisbee (glowsticks + light up frisbee + night time!),
~ and even a visit from the boy!

And you’ll have to wait to see what my dad got me! I am so excited to show you, but you’ll have to be patient!!

Hi Folks. I am so delighted with this idea, and I am sooo excited to share this shop update feature! I have spoken of Seattle’s Teacup in a previous post, and how much I enjoy their tea! WELL! I am passing it along to YOU!

I am so pleased to offer a small sampling of the Teacup’s Jardin Bleu tea, which consists of: Black tea, rhubarb, wild strawberry flavor, cornflower and helianthus petals. The little envelopes are about 1″ square, and hold exactly one serving size!

I will also send you with one tea bag and hand written directions! The best part is, I am only making 15 of these little guys (for now), so you best hop over to the shop on Friday morning to get one!!
It smells sooooo good, you’ll be sad if you miss out!

For the record, I talked with the owners about this, and they are so thrilled about the idea of their tea going out to other drinkers! :) So what’s holding you back?

Well, I’ve just gotta start out and say thank you so much for all the warm birthday wishes! You all are so sweet, and I look forward to celebrating with you later this week!

I want to show you some sweet sneaky peeks of some fun to come in the shop! I took your advice from my summertime goals post, and made some fun stationary sets for you all. This is just one of them! :)

The stationary set will have four postcards (yes! with rounded corners! yes! with two girl prints and two boy prints!) with four light blue envelopes. There will only be five sets, so be sure to snag one! And the little 5×7 images are going to be a new print set (girl and boy) in my shop too! I am so excited about this!

It’s no secret that we all wish we were rich enough to go to Anthropologie and not head directly for the sale rack. Their designs are always so pretty and elegant.  I just love all that feminine girlieness!  In fact, I do believe I have read quite a few comments from you all wishing you had the means to own a closet full of expensive beauties! Well I say! Enough is enough! I’d like you all to meet:

A few months ago, My Boy’s sister and I went to Anthropologie and frustratingly salivated for the last time. We decided right then and there that we were going to start saving pocket change and perhaps in four years, we can by some socks! :) But seriously, having this little goal makes going shopping very fun! I like knowing that I will have a future splurge soon! What do you say friends? Will you join me in saving?

Hello and good morning to all you green thumbs out there! (And you brown thumbs too! ;)) It was so much fun to hear about your past and present gardens. I look forward to reading some gardening posts from you all. I too will be keeping you updated.

As for today, I want to tell you about the Holga Camera.. Have you ever heard of it? They are pretty special - especially with Polaroid Cameras going out of stock. (So sad.) I love my Holga so much, and I got it for about $15-20 at a local camera store. There are also some pretty decent prices on Ebay. Holgas are very interesting because they can let in light leaks, and they are essentially toy cameras. They are purposely made “cheap,” for those who can appreciate the unpredictability of light exposure, color change, etc.

My photography teacher last year told me that some people even purposely smash (gently of course) their camera, only to duct tape it up - letting each photo shoot have a surprise outcome! Here are some examples of what you can do with this camera. (Photos taken from Flickr’s Edward Olive, Lemmonice, and Judy Stalus).

Pretty beautiful, huh? I love the subtle colors and foggy edges. They remind me of Alicia Bock’s photos. I definitely think it is worth the investment! Especially the surprise of getting your photos back. I would suggest taking them on sunny days so the light can really penetrate through the camera (if that’s desired). Otherwise, have fun!
